STATE OF BEACHES
IMPROVEMENT AT ST. CLAIR The St. Clair beach is reported in better order than has been the case for some time past, and conditions promise to be good for the week-end. There, is more sand on the beach, the'channel fairly close inshore is now filling np, and the water is mild. St. Kilda is not quite so good as usual, there being a number of dangerous Mies not far from the shore. Bathers are warned to exercise care and keep between the flags. The sea at Tomahawk is fairly smooth, the water is mild, and the beach is safe and ideal for surf-bathing at present.
