BEACH REPORT
IMPROVING CONDITIONS OVER WEEK-END Although the recent weather had its affect on the beach at St. Clair, carrying away again much of the sand which was forming up, it is expected that improved conditions will prevail over the week-end. Nevertheless, there is still need for extreme care at this end of the beach, there being a deep channel off shore. On the other hand, the beach at St. Kilda is-in fine order. Thex-e is a good surf, the temperature of the water is fairly mild, and so long as reasonable care is exercised the beach is fairly safe. The Tomahawk Beach has been in good condition throughout the present season, and, although there has been a fairly heavy sea running, prospects are for good conditions over the week-end. ■Bathers are urged to keep between the flags.
