FROST IN LONDON

A serious dislocation of the early morning traffic occurred in all parts of Greater London as the_ result of a sharp frost following rain. The conductor rails were frozen, preventing the operation of the electric train services on several routes Road traffic was brought to a standstill in many places, and there were many minor accidents. Pedestrians found it almost impossible to use the footways. Hundreds of cases of injury from falls were treated in the hospitals.
