A minister overtook one of his church members, who was staggering home, and, in the kindness .of heart, gave him an arm to assist his progress. When the goal was reached the tipsy one extended a most pressing invitation to come in. The minister tried to excuse himself. “ Come, awa’ ben, man,” the drotliy one insisted, “ and let me show the guid wife wha I hae ben wi’ the nicht.”
