MAORI HILL SCHOOL
SUCCESSFUL PARENTS’ DAY Wednesday, December 2, was a very successful parents’ day at Maori Hill School. A large number of parents availed themselves of the opportunity of being present, and showed keen interest in the high standard of the work. A massed drill display, under Mr Laing, by pupils of Standard I. to Form IT. was a feature of the proceedings, after which Mr L. Fairmaid, chairman of tliQ School Committee, welcomed the parents and thanked them for their attendance. He gave an account of the work done by the committee during the year, and asked them for their continued support. He then introduced to the parents Mr J. M. Wilson, head master, who, in reply, thanked Mr Fairmaid and the parents for coiqing to the school. The pupils were then given the opportunity of conducting their parents and friends over the school buildings and grounds, and of introducing them to the teachers. Many favourable comments on the high standard of the work and beauty of the grounds were made by the visitors.
