SPIRITUALIST CHURCH

The speaker at the Spiritualist Church last evening was Mr W. E. Reynolds, the subject of whose address was ‘ The King’s Chamber and the Truth That Makes Us Eree.’ Alter referring to Spiritualism as “ the open road to truth ” and reminding his hearers that it had been in evidence all down the ages, as was clear to those who had the key to the interpretation of the Bible, Mr Reynolds went on to deal with the riddle of the Great Pyramid, or that part' of it which covered the passages leading to the Kings’ Chamber and the chamber itself. The interpretation of this secret as made by the highest authorities had revealed with wonderful accuracy the vital happenings of this world. By a system of measurements the dates of these happenings were clearly shown. The date assigned to the entrance of the first low’passage, for instance, was August 4, 1914, the day upon which Britain entered the Great VVar, while the date indicated by the end of that passage was November 11, 1918, the day upon which the war ended. The intervening space between the first and second low passages indicated a period of 1U years, from 1918 to 1928, and was termeu “ Truce in chaos,” a term which proved to be highy appropriate. Then came the second low passage beginning Alay 29, 1928, and ending September 10, 1986, and signifying ihe period of intense industrial depression, from which the world had only just emerged. Many students, said Mr Reynolds, expected something dramatic to happen on September last, but what diet happen was the stabilising of the exchange by Britain and Era nee, other nations following later. This was one of the most vital things that could happen, so once more the Pyramid reading had boon verified. And now. continued the speaker, wo had entered the King’s Chamber, the measurements of which indicated the period between 1936 and 1933, and Mr Reynolds read passages from ‘ Revelations ’ which described the emergence from the second passage as the emergence from the Valley of Humiliation and the beginning of that period mentioned in the twentieth chapter of ‘ Revelations.’ Many people declared that Armageddon meant a great final battle, but as a matter of fact there was no mention in the Scriptures of a battle. On the contrary, the 1,000 years, of peace had already begun, and although minor troubles and wars between isolated nations might still occur, there would not be another Great World War, as many appeared to be so sure about. It was our duty, said Mr Reynolds, to realise this and to talk, live, and think peace, for peace was surely coming. The outlook might be confused and terrible, but when we took the esoteric view and saw the finished side of the carpet, we would discern tlie beautiful pattern which coincided with the tag-ends on the other side. The speaker urged his hearers to cultivate knowledge of what they would inevitably meet when they went over to the spirit world; to realise that we took over with us those thoughts which we had been thinking here, and according to the purity or otherwise of those thoughts, so would be our experience hereafter.
