[From Our Own Correspondent.] MILTON, December 5. The officials of the Tokomairiro Farmers’ Club are congratulating themselves on the number of entries received for the seventy-first annual summer show held at Milton to-day, last year’s record total being exceeded by to-day’s number. On the whole the exhibits sent in were of good quality, making a most attractive display. Most of the sheep section had been judged by early afternoon. The Border Leicester awards went to two brothers, Messrs W. and D. A. Drinnan, the only exhibitors in the class. W, Drinnail’s ewe hogget claimed the championship. Mr D. Russell took all the first and second awards in the Romney Marsh class, and all but two in the bred section. _ Mr C. R. Sheat and Mr G. al'Gregor took the second and third places respectively, with their pens of five ewe hoggets. Other awards are : Fat Sheep and Lambs.—Three fat sheep: D. Russell 1 and 3, A. E. Baxter 2. Three fat sheep (shorn, not over three shear) : C. N. Lowery 1 and 2, A. H. Coombes 3. Three fat lambs, long wool cross: C. N. Lowery 1,2, 3, and champion. Three fat lambs, any breed or cross: A. L. Coombes 1 "and 3, N. Drinnan 2. Three fat lambs, any breed or cross, not exceeding 721 b live weight: C. N. Lowery 1, A. L. Coombes 2 and 3.
