TIGER MATED WITH LION

The London Zoo hopes to breed a “ tigon.” A young tiger, born at Whipsnade, and a year-old lioness are to be mated for the experiment. Only one tiger-lion hybrid has been shown previously at the Zoo. It was bred by the Jam Sahib of Nawanagar in 1921, and lived for 10 years.
