IRE PORT KEMBLA DISPUTE PIW Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, August 10. The threatened strike at Port Kembla Iron and Steel Works has been averted as the result of a compulsory conference of the parties, whereby the dispate was referred to the State Industrial Commission, which will adjudicate upon it.
