The first to be given was based on the well-known stoi'y ‘ Cinderella,’ and the script of this was admirably worked out by Mr George M’Kinnon ; the main drawback was the dividing off into three scenes, the curtain having to be drawn twice. Later in the evening the effort of Messrs George Edwards and Les. Weatherall proved so popular that the mime was recalled to he done a second time. This was ‘ The .Judgment of Solomon,’ and portrayed the wellknown Biblical episode wherein Solomon delivered his judgment in the case where two women claimed the oxxe child. The proof was forthcoming when the veal mother was willing to let the other have the child to save its life, not being prepared to have half, for King Solomon,'to test the women, decreed that it be cut in two and each given half. The cast of this was as follows: —The Two Women, Miss P. Griffiths and Miss H. Edwai'ds; King Solomon. Mr George Edwards; and Court officer, Mr L. Weatherall.
