WEATHER FORECAST
SQUALLY AND CHANGEABLE The following weather forecast was issued at noon by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, covering the southern districts—Dunedin, Port Chalmers, Tapanui, Winton, Invercargill, Riverton. Orepuki, Bluff, Halfmoon Bay;— A series of rather vigorous westerly depressions continues to cross the southern portion of the Dominion Forecast: Moderate to strong northwest to westerly winds, reaching gale force at times in exposed positions. Weather squally and changeable, with rain at times, more especially in western and southern parts. Seas rough, south of Nugget Point, elsewhere mode, rate. OVERCAST AND MISTY. Temperatures over the week-end were generally high in the maximums and little range was shown between the two readings. Registrations for Saturday, Sunday, ana to-day were 49deg and 40deg, 54deg and 35deg, and 55.5 deg and 45deg respectively* Frosts totalled 3deg both on Saturday and Sunday evening. Saturday was fine, with a cold northerly, wind prevalent, while yesterday was accompanied bv bright sunshine with no wind. This morning broke fine, but the sky was overcast, with misty conditions about the city. Later the -sky became more clouded, and with a steady barometer of 29.7 in at noon, indications were for a fine afternoon,
