“ F.J.T.”—Tlie Minister of Finance (Mr Nash) has made it clear that there is nothing in the Finance Bill to compel an employer to pay more Ihau the award rate. He stated that where there is an award, if the employer paid over the award rate he shall still have to pay the award rate now, bub it was not compulsory in 1931, nor wa» it compulsory now, for an employer to pay over the award rate. —Ed.
