SOUTHLAND CHAMPIONSHIP TO 0. HOMER
Over a twenty-five-mile course a Southland time trial championship event was held in conjunction with a sealed handicap on Saturday afternoon (says the * News ’)• Good weather conditions prevailed with good roads, but a very strong wind slowed times up. Most ot the riders rode at a steady pace out to Woodlands, averaging about ‘2O miles per hour. A. Drury, who was first away, was followed by Homer, Frame, and Robinson. A. Drnry was caught by Homer at Woodlands, while Frame had lost 15 seconds on Homer and Robinson had gained 10 seconds on Frame. Most of the middle markers
