OTAGO CLUB The final of the annual knockout competition for the Haggitt Cup was played on Saturday between A. W. S. Ritchie (handicap 24) and A. M. Cameron (handicap 14). Ritchie, who is a young member of the club, was in receipt ot eight strokes from his opponent, and made good use of his handicap to win by 2 up and 1 to play.' The outward half of the round was closely contested, Ritchie having a lead of one hole at the turn. With the aid of his strokes he won both the eleventh and twelfth, placing him in the position of 3 up with 6 to play. Cameron scored a birdie 4 for a win at the thirteenth, the next two holes were halved, and Cameron won the sixteenth with a par 3, reducing his deficit to 1. Ritchie chipped up well with his third at the seventeenth, and holed a good putt for a win in 4. which gavo him the match. A Stableford bogey handicap was also played. The winner in the A grade section was B. M. Hay (handicap 5) with a score ot 35 points. In the B grade section five players tied with scores of 29 points. The following were the leading results:—
