CRIMINAL SITTINGS
[Per United Press Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, August 10. The Supreme Court sessions opened to-day, Mr Justice Ostler presiding. Of the three bills of indictment presented, two related to charges against motorists alleging negligence causing death. A true bill was returned against Samuel Edward George Hawke, charged with negligently driving a motor truck so as to cause the death of a motor cyclist. After a jury had been empanelled, the Crown asked that it be kept together during the four days the trial is expected to last.
