ESTIMATED DEFICIT SURPRISE IN HOUSE OF COMMONS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON. July 4. The. ‘Daily Telegraph’s 5 political correspondent says that Mr Neville Chamberlain’s Budget deficit announcement completely surprised the nouse of Commons. It is believed that rearmament expenditure for the current year will be at least £5,000,000 more than was contemplated when the Budget was framed.
