For the first time in history the dominions will take a special and significant part in the coronation. Canada, Australia, South Africa, and /New Zealand will be given a position in the ceremonies, emphasising their new importance as self-governing nations under the Statute of Westminster, whereunder the King is not only the ruler of the Empire as a whole, but separately and distinctly King of Canada, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand. The new coronation ceremony will underline this conception of the King, whose crowning in this new form may be a prelude to n contemplated Royal tour of tho dominions later. DISCUSSION BY PRIVY COUNCIL. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 3. Matters connected with next year’s coronation ceremony were, it is understood, discussed at a meeting of the Privy Council which the King held at Buckingham Palace to-day.
