LABOUR PARTY
ROSLYN-BELLEKNOWES BRANCH The keenness of the members of tho Roslyn-Belleknowcs branch of the N. is evidenced by tho regular attendances at tho monthly meetings. Thirty members were present at the .1 uue meeting, which was presided over by tho president (Mr W. Richards). A visitor was the president ol the O. (Mr Brian O’Donnell), who is making a tour of all branches. Two members of tho Dunedin West _ branch were also welcomed to tho meeting. _ A matter which came up for discussion was the social functions lo ho held periodically by tho branches of the party in tho Dunedin West electorate. The Social Committee of the branch will co-operate with the Social Committees of the other branches in Dunedin West electorate in running those socials. Another matter dealt with was the reforming tif the Rishopscourt branch, and the members undertook to call a mooting there. In connection with debates it was decided to issue challenges to other branches. Miss Griffiths gave an interesting address on her impressions of Parliament, and was accorded a vote of thanks. Supper was handed round by the ladies of the branch.
