TRAVELLING BAKING EXPERT
NEW GOVERNMENT APPOINTMENT LIAISON OFFICER BETWEEN MILLERS AND BAKERS [Pee United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, June 10. In order to act as liaison officer between the millers and the bakers, Air H. Hansen, who has hitherto been employed by Alessrs Bycroft Ltd., Auckland, as testing baker, has been appointed by the Government to the position of travelling baking expert for New Zealand. Air Hansen started his new duties to-day. A recognised authority on baking, Air Hansen is the author of a well-known text book, ‘ Bread Baking in New Zealand.’ He will work under the Wheat Committee, giving free service to both the bakers and the millers. He will advise the millers on the best methods of overcoming baking problems, and, if necessary, will consult with millers on tendencies that have arisen or difficulties that have been experienced in baking with their particular Hour. The appointment has been made as part of the scheme initiated by the Minister of Industries and Commerce (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan) to control and assist the wheat milling and baking industries.
