EXTENSION OF FUNCTIONS
A COMPANY'S APPLICATION [Per United Press Association ] . WELLINGTON, June 16. Messrs Levin and Co. Ltd., the wellknown 'Wellingt a: firni, which is desirous of extending iis functions so that it may act as trustee and to receive remuneration for suck services, is applying to the Court of Appeal lor confirmation of certain resolutions extending and altering the objects of the company as set forth in its, memorandum of association. The original application was heard on June 9, 1936. by Air Justice Smith, who ordered its removal to tho Court of Appeal for further consideration. Should the application bo granted the compuiu- will be in the position of an individual trustee, but not that of an executor or administrator, and full security would be afforded to interested persons against any act of negligence or breach of trust by tho company or its officers whenever the company was acting as a trustee. Decision was reserved.
