JOSEPH CHAMBERLAIN CENTENARY MEMORIAL FUND APPEAL. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, June 15. (Received June 16, at 11.35 a.m.) The Dukes of Bedford, Buccleugh, Portland, Sutherland, and Westminster, and Lords Londonderry, Bledisloe, and Hirst are associated with an appeal to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Mr Joseph Chamberlain on July 8, when a meeting at Albert Hall will inaugurate a memorial fund to enable a sustained campaign in support of Imperial ideals and increasing the Empire’s cooperation in trade, migration, defence, and foreign policy, for which they are seeking the co-operation of the leaders of industry and agriculture at home and overseas, all realising that Imperial strength and unity are essential.
