RETURN TO SETTLED CONDITIONS A particularly sharp frost of 4deg, the hardest for two weeks, marked last night as one of the coldest this- winter.. Unlike yesterday, when a piercing wind made conditions most uncomfortable, to-day was much more pleasant, though a gentle north-east breeze detracted from the warmth of the sun.
