THE BROUGHTON CELEBRATIONS DR D'ARCY'S TRIBUTE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, May 29. (Received May 30, at 11 a.m.) ' The official opening service of the Bishop Broughton centenary celebrations was held at St. Andrew’s Cathedral last night in the presence of one of the largest assemblages in the history of the Anglican Church in Australia. A brilliant touch was a procession of archbishops, bishops, and others occupying high office in the Anglican Church who came to Sydney from all parts of Australia and other parts-of the Empire. Tho lesson was read by Archbishop Averill (Now Zealand). The Most Rev. Dr D’Arcy (Archbishop of Armagh), in his sermon, said the church did well to honour the memory of Bishop Broughton. His was a noble example of untiring work. Ho had shown the highest qualities amid great difficulties of a true Christian hero.
