POPULARITY SUSTAINED

HAST-O'BRIAH VAUDEVILLE ‘ Beauty on Parade,’ the second production of the popular Hart-O’Bnan Vaudeville Company, upholds the high standard of entertainment set in the first week of the company’s season, and each night patrons are granted a full measure of fun, music, and spectacular settings. Naturally, the lion s share of the comedy work falls on the able shoulders of Frank O’Brian himself, and his spontaneous humour is given full rein in numerous short sketches, in which his antics find foils, not a whit less mirth-provoking than himself, in Alma Aldous, Mary Doran, Cecil Scott, and Alec Kellaway. Miss Janice Hart is another who is seen in a number of comical situations, while she also shows her ability in several numbers of a more serious nature. She has several song numbers, which always find the instant approval of the audience, while her costuming is outstanding. Desiree and Montigue are specialty dancers, who give a brilliant performance, while an unusual act is provided by the Three Velescos, who appear to take the fact of being balanced on each other’s feet and heads as quite a natural proceeding. Probably the most popular act is the “ Shadowgraphing ” of Vic. Sanderson, while Dave Janies proves himself a master of sleight of hand. 'An acrobatic dance turn by the Orlando Trio is also deservedly popular. The orchestra, under Mr Bed Beacham, contributes in no small way toward the success of the performance.
