Rest £3,300.000 Public deposits 19,800,000 Bankers’ deposits 78,30.0,000 Other accounts 56,700,000* Government securities 91,800,000 Discounts and advances 6,700,000 Other securities 12,900,000 Notes in reserve 41,200,000 Rate of reserve to liabilities is 30.57 per cent. Bank of England discount rate remains unchanged at 2 per cent. The Whitsun holidays resulted in a record note circulation.
