LAURIER, PORT CHALMERS
‘ Stormy Weather,’ tlie GaumontBritish comedy now at the Laurier, Port Chalmers, is_ one of those hilarious farces for which Ben Travers has become famous. Four of the old Aldwych players are in the cast, Yvonne Arnaud appearing with the Walls-Lynn-ITare trio. There is an abundance of amusing dialogue and a series of diverting situations. The comically absurd story and its bizarre Chinese underworld settings and . atmosphere are a departure from the situations usually expected in a Travers’ farce. Tom Walls and Yvonne Arnaud provide amusing interludes of affectionate indifference to each other. _ Ralph Lynn puts over his own inimitable typo of polite and worried ineptitude, and Ivobertsou Hare contributes one of his customary studies, a little more henpecked than usual.
