THE ‘SPORTS SPECIAL ’
To-morrow night again the ‘ Sports Special ’ will make the widest appeal in the volume and quality of the special articles discussing sporting topics that will support the actual news of the day section, “ Nestor’s ” second article on great cricketers will deal with ideal opening batsmen, with special attention to Jack Hobbs, “ the man with no nerves ”; a second cricket special wifi illustrate the quick rise of the New Zealander, C. S. Dempster, to prominence in English county games; and a third reviews the present situation of the game in Otago. An illustrated article dealing with Japanese prospects in the Olympic Games, a review of Otago’s failure in the Soccer encounter with Canterbury, and a number of special , wrestling photographs, are just a few further features of to-morrow night’s issue.
Owing to pressure on the journal's available space, the BurnsJohnson fight article is withheld till next week.
