CENSUS FIGURES
THE COOK ISLANDS INCREASE OF 23 PER GENT. [L'uit United Press Association. l WELLINGTON, May 27. .Preliminary census figures issued today for the lower group of the Cook Islands show an intercensal increase of 23 per cent. The returns for the northern islands may not bo received for several months, owing to the irregularity and infrequency of the communications. The figures are as follow:
