William M'Reynolds, a ship’s fireman, who was sentenced in the Wellington Supreme Court on a major charge, came up in the Magistrate’s court to-day charged with being in charge of a motor car ivhile in a state of intoxication. Counsel suggested that in view of the fact that M4J?eynolds had been dealt with, the present charge should be withdrawn, but De-tective-sergeant Revell said he had been instructed to proceed with the ca *®-, It would be 1 necessary to call evidence and possibly bring witnesses mfa a distance.
