The principal awards at the National Eisteddfod to-day were as follow: — National Dance (Highland fling), 10 and under 12.—Irene Rees (Christchurch) 1, Meta M'Kenna (Wellington) 2, Peggy Tpvey (Miramar) 3. Recitation, girls 14 and under 16. Gwendoline M'Donald (Wellington) 1, Ngaire Glue (Dunedin) 2, Roma Topp (Wellington) 3. Eisteddfod Test Recital, girls eight and under 12.—Joyce Leek (Wellington) 1, Rita Cass (Wellington) 2, Jean Rimmer (Wallaceville) 3. Shakespearian Recitation, either sex. —Miss Lexie Mathieson (Dunedin) 1, Miss Mary M'Gavin (Wellington) 2, Mr Colin Harper (Invercargill) 3. Very highly commended : Miss Sybil Henderson, (Dunedin). Recital in Character, girls 12 and under 16. —Vivienne Gelle (Hawora) ], Ngaire Glue (Dunedin) 2, Edna Gorrie (Mangaro.a) 3.
