JVTLellan, who some years ago was associated in many successes with a good pacer in Outcast. Silver Guy has some fair performances to his credit, and at the Gore Meeting on Boxing Day he won the Trial Handicap, a mile and a-half saddle race, in 3min 40 4-ssec; At the Winton Meeting Silver Guy finished second to Sterling Lady after pacing a mile and a-half in ‘3nun 21 2-ssec, and was later unplaced at Gore, Invercargill, and Wyndham. Silver Guy is a smart pacer according to his best time, but in his engagement to-morrow he will meet fast-improving horses in Diversion, Player, and Nell Grattan.
