LEVANT FAIR
OPENED AT TEL-AVIV
(British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, April 30. (Received May 1, at 1 p.m.) Mr J. H. Thomas (Colonial Secretary) delivered by wireless an address at the opening of the international Levant fair at Tel-Aviv to-day. Speaking of the success of the fair two years ago, he said that over 2,000 exhibiting firms from 32 countries participated. “ Naturally the unhappy events of the last two weeks have cast a deep shadow upon this occasion,” he added, “ but I am confident that these sad happenings will not prevent the fair from repeating and surpassing the remarkable success of two years ago.”
