NEW ZEALAND PLANS NOTICE TO TBOLEY STREET FIRMS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, April 80. (Received May 1, at 1 p.m.) The ‘ Daily Herald ’ says: The London office of the New Zealand Dairy Control Board has notified 30 Tooley street merchant/;, who have had a virtual monopoly' of New Zealand butter and cheese marketed through London, that all agreements will lapse on July 31. Thereafter only firms prepared to undertake not to speculate in New Zealand butter and cheese and to work strictly to an agreed commission on turnover 'basis will be allotted supplies. It is estimated that the 30 firms concerned share £400,000 a year in commission for passing on New Zealand’s shipments to the larger wholesalers. Most of the firms say they are ready to accept the new conditions. The others are certain to bo eliminated.
