BRIGHT COMEDY
H'LAUREL AND M'HARDY Comedy of a most uproarious and satisfying nature is provided in ‘ Bonnie Scotland,’ which opens at tlio Empire on Saturday. The two members of the cast which really matter to most of the audiences are Laurel and Hardy, a team of long standing which lias produced countless shorter films of an acceptable kind. The pair show in ‘ Bonnie Scotland ’ their ability to keep an audience continually amused for the duration of a full-length film, and it is probable that more pictures of the kind will be forthcoming. The scene of the film varies, starting in America, transferring to Scotland, where Laurel is bitterly disappointed in his hopes of a legacy from his grandfather, and finally In India, where life in a Highland regiment on the North-west Frontier yields numerous amusing situations from which the utmost humour is extracted.
