PIGEON FLYING
The Dunedin Homing Pigeon Club flew the opening race of its young bird programme from Oamaru, an airline distance of 58 miles, to central lofts on Saturday. Flying conditions were not the best. The winner's time was 2h 17min, a good performance considering the unfavourable conditions. One hundred and two birds from 19 lofts were entered for this race.
