The Minister of Transport (Mr Semple) said on Saturday that there appeared to be in some quarters the belief that the Transport Licensing Act and regulations had been suspended. That was not the case. The whole problem was under review.' and pending the final decision, it had been arranged tliat the Co-ordination Board would not proceed further with. the hearing of appaels, and that, as far as possible, the district licensing authorities should' not deal with new or renewed applications. The provisions of the Act, however, were fully operative, and th* present license of an operator denned the evtent of his present rights. Three hundred calves bred from English stock have been transported by aeroplane from Lima to Cuzco in Peru. They are intended for stock raising purposes, and the aeroplane has provided a safer and healthier method of transport than the long journey by coastal steamship, by tedious mid protracted mountain railway stages. ,
