The Minister for Customs (Mr T. iW. : White) has sent instructions to the Customs authorities at Thursday Island- -ttf investigate the report that a Japanese sampan crew trespassed on Flinders Island. ■ Mr White added: “ Reports of depredations by 1 sampan crews in the north are- altogether tooV frequent. I am determined to do all possible within the jurisdiction of the Customs Department to check them.”
