APPEAL OF MAREO
NEW TRIAL SOUGHT [Pbb United Press Association.]AUCKLAND. February 29. A motion was lodged in the Suprem* Court this morning by Mr K. G ■ Aekins, solicitor for Mareo, applying for leave to appeal to the Court ,of Appeal for a new trial on the ground that the verdict of guilty of the murder of his wife was against the weight of evidence. ■ The application will come before Mr Justice Fair in the' Supreme Court at Auckland on Tuesday morning next.
