~ COLD AND CHANGEABLE The following weather .forecast wa« issued at noon by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, covering the southern district—Dunedin, Port Chalmers* Tapanui, Winton, Invercargill, Riverton, Ofepuki, Bluff, Halfmoon Bay;—* A depression is centred west of the Auckland Peninsula, while an anticyclone extends across the-Tismah Sea on to southern New Zealand. Forecast: Moderate to Strong southerly winds; weather cold and changeable, : with scattered rain; , seas rather rough.to rough. . - DULL AND UNPROMISING. After three successive days of sunshine the weather broke .yesterday afternoon, and at noon to-day indications for the week-end 'were-not favourable. The weather became overcast at 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon# and clouds gathered overnight. Early this morning there was a moderate southerly wind, 'which ; brought ■ -with -it misty rain from the sea. The maximum temperature yesterday was 65.5, with a minimum of s4degj compared with a "maximum at- noon to-day of 55.3, and a minimum of S3deg.
