The monthly meeting of the Northacst A r alley branch of the AV.C.T.U. was held on Thursday. The chaii was taken by Mrs Sanders, the president, Miss Gray, who is just recovering from a severe illness, being unable to attend Devotions were taken by Mrs Green, who gave an inspiring address showing the possibilities of power in consecrated womanhood. Mrs Peart was appointed the representative to the AV.C.T.U. Convention to be held during March at Auckland. A vote of sympathy with Mrs Elliot on the loss of her sou was passed, members standing. A pi-’ace mandate was presented to the meeting for Signatures, and eagerly received.
