THE M'GREGOR FUND
PREMIER ENDORSES APPEAL [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, February 28. “ There have been many appeals to the generosity of the citizens of New Zealand, but I cannot think of any more worthy of support than the M'Gregor national fund,” said the Premier, Mr 'Savage, to-day. “ I am sure the public of New Zealand will respond heartily.” Mr Savage referred to M'Gregor’s career in war and peace, and said he had paid the price as so many pioneers had, and death intervened. The main object of the fund was the care and education of M'Gregor’s four young children, and he had no hesitation in recommending it to bis fellow citizens as worthy of their generous impulses.
