The ‘ Sun’s ’ Canberra correspondent says: “To remove misconceptions abroad, particularly in Britain, concerning the possibilities of closer settlement in Australia, the Government is considering an investigation into the migration and absorption capacity of the Commonwealth. As the result of such a survey it is hoped to obtain an accurate estimate of the economic population limit, not only of Australia as a whole, but of various portions of it in the light of present conditions.
