During a fit of laughter at a film at Tipperary Town Hall, Patrick Roche, aged 18, swallowed a two-inch-long horse-nail which he had been using as a toothpick. He continued to enjoy the entertainment to the end, but at its conclusion he i suited a d ictor. Ponding X-ray examination he was up and about as uaial, apparently none the worse for his mishap.
