AMENDMENTS TO PRAYER BOOK 1 ORDER IN COUNCIL ISSUED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 31. (Received February 1, at 2 p.m.) The King has assumed the ranks of Admiral of the Fleet, Field Marshal, and Marshal of the Royal Air Force, all from January 21, the date of accession It is pointed out that His Majesty will not assume the rank of Chief of Air Force, which was specially created for King George. An Order in Council amends the Prayer Book, indicating that King Edward’s name be replaced for that of King ■ George in prayers and collects for the King, and the names of Albert, puke of York, and the Duchess of York are inserted in the prayers for the Royal Family instead of the- Prince of Wales. The order enjoins clergy to amend the prayers with a pen, pending a new edition of the Common Prayer Book. Lord Derby will lease King George’s racehorses until the end of the year, but King Edward does not intend to discontinue the Royal connection with the turf. .
