MELEE IN HOSPITAL
SEAMAN'S OBJECTIONABLE BEHAVIOUR [Per United Press Association.'] , WELLINGTON, February 1. A drunken man who went to the Wellington Hospital yesterday at the busiest part of the ■ visiting period to see his wife made his presence felt and his company objectionable. His removal was not effected before, in the main corridor, he said what he thought about various matters. As a consequence, the man, Christopher Connell (42), a seaman, to-day received 14 days for assaulting James Dillon,. an attendant.' He butted him twice in the chest. Connell was convicted and discharged for drunkenness and for using obscene language. The magistrate remarked that it was an offence from which the public simply had to be protected.
