GUP TO GRAND JURY The Wanganui Jockey Club’s Summer Meeting was opened in line weather and the track was in good order. The attendance was satisfactory. Full Throttle and Rust made the pace ahead of Grand Jury, Gay Boy, and Aga Khan, but Grand Jury went to the front at the straight entrance and_ lasted long enough to withstand Eminent’s brilliant run. Acceptable had charge within two furlongs, and was followed into the straight by Sir ;Nigel, Lavina, and Movie Star. The issue was never in doubt. Acceptable winning comfortably. Time, Imin 12sec. Bazaine followed Debut into the straight, and then won as he liked from the fast-finishing Eara and Solaria, who was squeezed out at the start. Passion Flower was fourth.
