BRIGHT COMEDY
CLAUDETTE COLBERT FOR MAYFAIR When a favourite emotional actress confines herself to light comedy an audience has its opportunity to grumble at the change or to applaud the courage which prompted the departure. Claudette Colbert, however, completely charms audiences by her acting m her new comedy-, film, which opens at the Mayfair to-morrow, ‘ She Married Her Boss,’ produced by that confirmed Hollywood experimenter, Harry Cohn —maker of ‘ Lady For a Day,’ ‘ It Happened One Night,’ and Grace Moore’s < One Night of Love.’ ‘ She Married Her Boss ’ tells its story in its title. She was an efficient secretary—so efficient that when she wanted to leave the firm the boss proposed to her and followed it up by eloping with her in the same half-hour, in order to keep her “ within reach.” From there the picture proceeds to a rather startling climax.
