STUDENTS DECLARE GENERAL STRIKE 1 POLICE -FIRE ON DEMONSTRATORS Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright CAIRO, January 27. (Received January 28, at 1 p.m.) The students have declared a general strike. There were no clashes in Cairo, where the bridges were opened to prevent the approach of 1,200 students from Giza, but the police at Damanhour and Mansura fired on demonstrators, wounding five and twelve respectively. Fifteen police were injured at Mansura.
