AMERICA'S CRIME WAR
SHOWN IN ‘LEGION OF VALOUR*
America’s internal war—the war waged between criminals and agents of the Department of Justice—is becoming increasingly popular as a subject for talking pictures. The latest film of this type is ‘ The Legion of Valour,’ which opens at the Kegent on Friday, and it is. possibly even better than its As; in all plays of this class,' the action is fast—very fast. —there is sufficient story to bind the exciting incidents into a comprehensive whole, and the acting is good. ‘The Legion of Valour,’ _ as is the custom now, makes the police, not the criminals, the heroes. Possibly such a plot has propaganda value in America, but whatever the reason it certainly makes excellent entertainment for New Zealanders. Federal agents, according to the picture, must possess many qualifications for their particular hazardous calling, but above all they - must be “ quick on the draw,” and accurate when they have drawn.
