FUNERAL OF HIS MAJESTY, RING GEORGE. ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE OCCASION. rTIHE PUBLIC ARE HEREBY NOTIPIED that, in accordance with His Majesty King Edward’s Suggestion, A PERIOD OF TWO MINUTES’ SILENCE WILL BE OBSERVED throughout the City on TUESDAY, the 28th instant, at 11 o’clock, a.m., as a TRIBUTE OF RESPECT from the Citizens on the Occasion of the Funeral of His Majesty King George. In addition, arrangements have been made for the following Function at the War Memorial, Queen’s Gardens, commencing at 10.50 a.m.:— Hymn, ‘ Abide With Me.* Prayer. ‘ Last Post.' Two Minutes’ Silence. ‘ Reveille.’ Salute of 70 Guns by Battery, to be posted in Cumberland street. ' National Anthem. Detachments of the Defence Forces, Legion of Frontiersmen, Returned Soldiers, Imperial War Veterans, South African Veterans, Boy Scouts, and Girl Guides will Parade under their respective organisations. The Commencement of the Period of Silence will be Indicated by a Short, Sharp Tolling of the Town Hall Bell, and .the Conclusion of the Two Minutes’ Silence will be Signalled by the Firing of the First Gun of the Salute.
